HYDRAULIC CONTROL BLOCKS

TRUST OUR EXPERTISE

Based on intensive analysis of all control requirements, we are able to contribute to significant optimizations for machine manufacturers. First, we develop precise technical drawings, followed by detailed 3D data models, and then implement everything in a finished series system. We already have a wide range of ready-to-use solutions that can be flexibly adapted to individual customer requirements.

HYDRAULIC CONTROL BLOCKS

What is a hydraulic control block?

A hydraulic control block forms the core of a hydraulic control system and combines several valves and channels in a compact block. It guides oil flows precisely, distributes pressure reliably, and creates clear structures in systems that require high forces or high speeds. WEBER-HYDRAULIK manufactures this block from high-quality steel, cast iron, or aluminum, applying tight tolerances to remain economical. The hydraulic control block, which reliably controls loads and directs movements cleanly, replaces many individual valves, thereby reducing lines, transitions, and potential sources of error. They are used in mobile machines, industrial plants, manufacturing and production systems, or in safety and press applications.

1. HOW DOES A HYDRAULIC CONTROL BLOCK WORK?

A hydraulic control block works with valves, channels, and pressure stages that are precisely coordinated with each other. As soon as the control block receives a command from the machine control system, the valve controls the path of the oil. The flow moves into the desired circuit and moves a hydraulic cylinder, holds a load, or builds up the necessary pressure. Thanks to the precise manufacturing of the blocks, the oil flow immediately follows the open control circuit and the control block directs the oil in the desired direction. The function remains stable even during fast cycles and provides a reliable basis for demanding applications.

1.1 WHAT VALVE AND CONTROL FUNCTIONS CAN A CONTROL BLOCK CONTAIN?

Control blocks can contain pressure control valves, flow control valves, shut-off valves, and directional control valves to control movements, speeds, and forces. Electronic monitoring devices mounted on the control block, such as pressure switches and pressure sensors, are necessary for more complex control of the hydraulic system.

2. FIELDS OF APPLICATION WITH HIGH PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

WEBER-HYDRAULIK develops every hydraulic block for machines that can exert high forces. Pressure often rises far above the usual level, especially in hydraulic presses. The control block can withstand such loads because the material, heat treatment and channel routing are all coordinated. In mobile work machines, industrial plants and testing equipment, precise control ensures that every movement remains predictable and repeatable. This increases the process reliability and performance of your machine.

2.1 NEW CONTROL BLOCKS FOR MODERN SYSTEMS

The current solutions from WEBER-HYDRAULIK are aimed at machine manufacturers who require compact geometries, high response speeds and low energy consumption. The control blocks in the hydraulics system use short paths, low leakage and clearly recognisable interfaces for your application.

Each unit is manufactured entirely in our own factory, in precision machining centres and under real load tests. The design focuses on stability and clear functional lines, enabling the control blocks to safely control processes and cleanly control high forces. Customised solutions are designed and manufactured in our in-house production centres.

2.2 ADVANTAGES FOR THE DESIGN AND INTEGRATION OF HYDRAULIC BLOCKS

Hydraulic control blocks from WEBER-HYDRAULIK make it easier to plan your systems. The compact design saves space, the clear channel structure reduces installation effort and the robust valve technology improves repeat accuracy. When you compare different solutions, you will immediately recognise the technical advantage. The control blocks control complex movement sequences and remain stable even during continuous operation. This ensures the longevity of your machine and provides a reliable basis for new projects.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our services, products and
processes – summarised quickly and clearly.

Compact hydraulic blocks reduce pipe runs, transitions and screw connections. This reduces the space required, allows the system to respond more quickly and significantly reduces the number of potential leak points. You get a stable, clear and low-maintenance structure.

Tight tolerances, clean surfaces, few branches and narrow points improve the flow, which increases efficiency throughout the control block. This allows the valves to operate more precisely, pressure to build up more reliably and the machine to achieve greater repeatability. These factors increase the service life, stability and efficiency of your entire system.

They are suitable for machines that require high forces and controlled movements. These include presses, mobile work machines, test benches, lifting systems and systems with dynamic load changes. In all areas, the hydraulic control block delivers clear control paths and robust performance.

The valve system defines the speed, force and response behaviour of your system. Precise design ensures that the block distributes pressure cleanly and controls movements accurately. This gives your machine a high level of process reliability and ensures that it works reliably even under changing conditions.

The hydraulic control blocks feature clear interfaces, easily recognisable connection concepts and structured channel routing. These characteristics facilitate design and integration into existing systems. Developers benefit from predictable reactions and a clean structure.
