The pipe burst protection RBS1-18 is used wherever special protection is required against the consequences of a sudden drop in pressure due to pipe or hose ruptures.

If the permissible pressure difference is exceeded, i.e. in the event of a sudden increase in oil flow rate caused by a pipe or hose rupture, the valve plate closes the outlet opening and thus stops the movement of the consumer. The response flow rate is set with the gap dimension "s," which can be taken from the setting diagram. The response flow rate should be 50% higher than the maximum operating flow rate. On request, the pipe burst protection RBS1 is available with a bore in the valve plate, so that the oil flow is not completely interrupted but can continue to a small extent. Thanks to its compact design, the RBS1 can easily be screwed directly into the consumer connections or connected to them via a housing.
