WEBER-HYDRAULIK bauma 2022

Report

Güglingen, 20. Oktober 2022.                        The bauma 2022 was a huge success for WEBER-HYDRAULIK. From 24 to 30 October, a total of more than 495,000 visitors came to Munich to experience the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment. For the hydraulics specialist from Güglingen, this was the perfect stage to present its answers to the current trends in the industry.

The bauma was an outstanding experience and the ideal platform to present the latest developments of WEBER-HYDRAULIK and to get in touch with customers. In times like these, after a long period of social distancing, it is particularly nice to see the industry’s key players, innovations, target groups and trends gathered in one place and to be a part of it again.

“We are both delighted and stunned. The bauma was a raving success for us. It gave us the opportunity to have lots of interesting talks with our customers and also discuss the megatrends. We are already offering solutions to the requirements of tomorrow and are working flat out to continue developing innovative, tailor-made hydraulic solutions according to customer specifications. Apart from showcasing several product innovations, we continued to press ahead with digitalisation at our fair stand this year. For the very first time, we presented our product portfolio exclusively in digital form, showing a new concept of our fair stand. We would like to communicate the spirit of innovation of the whole WEBER-HYDRAULIK Group to the outside world, and the bauma turned out the be the perfect platform to do so. We are optimistic about the future and are already looking forward to the next World’s Leading Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment”, says Frank Schlosser, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer.

Just in time for the bauma, WEBER-HYDRAULIK expanded its virtual showroom by adding the three levels of Construction, Cranes and Trailers, where digital visitors can experience products and applications in a playful way and learn interesting details about the company. In addition, the meeting lounges in the foyer of the virtual world invite visitors to have technical discussions with the various points of contact of WEBER-HYDRAULIK.

New steering cylinder impresses with compact and efficient design

The new generation of steering cylinders with the tube-in-tube solution by WEBER-HYDRAULIK are suitable for various areas of application, such as in cranes and other construction machinery, and particularly stand out with their higher integration density and improved material utilisation. With the help of load-optimised designs verified with FEM-supported calculations, the weight can be reduced to a minimum by using high-performance components without having to compromise on efficiency or durability. A major advantage is the higher integration density of safety valves, such as check valves, lowering brake valves and switch valves in the steering cylinder, offering customers a huge increase in efficiency as well as a safety function.

Another innovation is the new rotary servo valve, which can be used wherever a specific hydraulic frequency needs to be generated, in particular in cases where different frequencies are necessary for different applications or variable frequencies are required within one application. Depending on the customer’s requirements, up to 60 vibrations per second can be reached, although the frequency can still be increased as necessary for the specific application. Since the new product does not require peripheral hydraulic equipment, it is more compact in size, making the rotary servo valve suitable for installation in confined spaces.

Locking cylinder for quick-coupler systems ensures high level of safety

The locking cylinder for quick-coupler systems was developed in collaboration with Rädlinger Maschinen- und Stahlbau GmbH and is a purely hydraulic system. A quick-coupler system makes it possible to automatically change various attachments for construction machinery without the driver having to get out or requiring the help of another person. The newly developed locking technology prevents any improperly locked attachment from releasing itself from the construction machinery and helps avoid accidents. The product itself is additionally fitted with an optomechanical locking indicator, which shows whether the locking bolts are extended. The mechanical self-retaining safety claw makes losing the attachment impossible, ensuring that the current EU safety regulations are complied with.

Robust design makes the VCP mobile valve series suitable for special applications

Furthermore, WEBER-HYDRAULIK presented the durable VCP Mobile Classic valve series, which has been manufactured since as early as 2000. The solid and compact design of the double pilot-operated check valves ensures both increased efficiency and reduced installation effort and their robustness makes them suitable for special applications, especially in very harsh operating conditions. The installation of the check valves eliminates the need for tubing, saving valuable time and costs. Moreover, the built-in check valves guarantee additional safety by holding loads securely. This prevents the hydraulic cylinder from causing a hazard by extending or retracting inadvertently. These robust valves are manufactured using high-quality materials and components, further enhancing the durability of the products.
