A journey through time spanning 80 years of power and dynamics in hydraulics

WEBER-HYDRAULIK presents virtual showroom

Güglingen, in March 2022                  WEBER-HYDRAULIK is offering digital visitors a whole new and unique experience. Interested visitors can experience WEBER-HYDRAULIK digitally across four levels and navigate their way through an impressive virtual world, enabling them to rediscover the company, its beginnings and a range of applications and products from a completely different perspective.

Anyone who has always wanted to get to know WEBER-HYDRAULIK now has the opportunity to do so in the new showroom, where visitors can learn a lot of interesting details about the company and experience products and applications in a playful way, while travelling through time from the first steps in agricultural engineering to innovative development projects.

“With our virtual world, we break new ground not only in our industry, but also beyond. We place a focus on visitor experience. Moreover, the showroom can be used individually and independently of location and time”, Christine Grotz, Managing Partner of WEBER-HYDRAULIK, says. There are already plans to expand the showroom with additional topics and segments.

Enter the virtual world

Following successful registration, every guest is familiarised with the virtual world in a short video tutorial and is then welcomed at the info point by the two WEBER mascots, Emilia and Emil. A meeting lounge invites visitors to have informative dialogue and technical discussions with the WEBER-HYDRAULIK sales staff. Information about the company rounds off the experience on the ground level. The showroom guests can then access the other levels by the stairs or the lift.

From the past to the future

The three levels represent the past, present and future of WEBER-HYDRAULIK. On level 1, interested visitors can go on a journey through time from the company’s inception in 1939 to the founding of the joint venture RESCUE DIGITAL SYSTEMS for digital technologies in 2019. Each historical milestone is paired with a reference to current events. Another highlight of this level is the possibility to listen to an original audio recording of founder Emil Weber, in which he talks about why and under what circumstances he established the company.

Having arrived on the next level, visitors can experience an exhibition of several agricultural machines, such as a tractor, a harvester and a plough. Red numbered dots indicate the positions of WEBER-HYDRAULIK products in the respective vehicles. There is also the option to display additional product information as well as a rotatable and zoomable 3D model of the built-in vehicle component. For example, visitors can click on one of five numbers on the plough to take a closer look and get a vivid impression of a built-in plough turning cylinder with an integrated valve system, a width adjustment cylinder or an overload protection device.

The third level is the future level, showcasing innovations from various fields of application. For example, guests of the virtual world can encounter an intelligent steering system or online applications, apps and smart devices as digital helpers in firefighting and technical rescue operations.

Explore the virtual world for yourself

The new platform can be found at showroom.weber-hydraulik.com or on the WEBER website. Visitors can use a tablet or PC to move through the individual levels independently of time and location. All those interested can get a first impression in the form of a video at Youtube.
