WEBER-HYDRAULIK finances special education specialist in Güglingen’s inclusive daycare center

Pioneer project secured with donation

Güglingen, 23. March            Positive results and increased demand: Since its launch in the 2016/2017 kindergarten year, the inclusive Herrenäcker daycare center in Güglingen (INKI) has become a lighthouse project and is considered a pioneer throughout the district. A donation from WEBER-HYDRAULIK now ensures that a remedial teacher can be employed for the care of children with special needs and collegial counseling for another two years, after the funding for this position expired in February.

Since 2019, between 50 and 70 children with special needs have been cared for in all daycare centers in Güglingen. This need is increasing because more and more children whose development is delayed or at risk require special support. The INKI special needs educator relieves educators and parents and enables the children to participate in regular group activities.

The success of the INKI project is reflected not least in the fact that it has become known beyond the city limits of Güglingen: Municipalities, sponsors and parents from the entire district are now seeking contact with the initiators for advice. Since there are no subsidies for such a model, the entrepreneurial family behind WEBER-HYDRAULIK is supporting the financing of the specialist from March 2023. The company has already ensured since 2019 that the financing of the remedial teacher as an additional specialist is possible for all daycare centers in Güglingen.

The commitment to the inclusive daycare center is just one of numerous initiatives with which the company fulfills its social responsibility. This also includes the fact that WEBER-HYDRAULIK has been fulfilling the employee quota for severely disabled people for many years and thus lives inclusion in the company with diverse teams.
