WEBER-HYDRAULIK Team makes Christmas wishes come true

Annual wish tree campaign and delivery of gifts to local organizations

Güglingen, 19. December                  No Christmas at WEBER-HYDRAULIK without wish trees: Since 2018, the company’s employees at the Constance and Güglingen sites have been supporting people in need with a wish tree campaign. Now this year’s gifts were handed over to the representatives of the local organizations, who will take care of their further distribution.

“The willingness of the employees to participate in these donation campaigns was enormous again this year. All wishes were granted and we are very pleased to be able to bring joy to people in this way together with our partners,” says Nadine Matuschek, who coordinates the campaign at the Güglingen site.

In Constance, the company cooperated with Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO) Kreisverband Konstanz e.V., which collected wishes from needy people in Constance and the surrounding area for the company’s wish tree. “For these people, it really makes a difference when they feel that someone is thinking of them. We therefore greatly appreciate the commitment of WEBER-HYDRAULIK employees,” says Zahide Sarikas, from the Xenia project, which supports refugee women in Constance.

At the Güglingen site, the wish tree campaign supports the local family center with wishes from needy children from the surrounding area: “We are pleased to be able to coordinate this wish tree with WEBER-HYDRAULIK every year. For the children we support, this is simply a wonderful thing to do at Christmas,” says Monika Hamann from the Güglingen Family Center with pleasure. At WEBER-HYDRAULIK, the wish tree campaign at the end of the year is part of a series of initiatives with which the company fulfills its social responsibility and is committed to society. “We are a family business and feel committed to this tradition,” emphasizes Christine Grotz, managing partner of WEBER-HYDRAULIK. “In the projects we support, the focus is on children’s and youth work and the regional proximity to our sites.” This is reflected, for example, in the long-term commitment to the family center in Güglingen and in the company’s involvement in financing a remedial teacher as an additional specialist in the local daycare centers. Most recently, trainees and students helped the town of Güglingen clean up the Zaber stream in November.

This year, it was also particularly important that the Ukrainian representative “Industry Energy Equipment LLC.” as a dealer and long-standing partner of the company’s own brand WEBER RESCUE SYSTEMS could be supported with a monetary donation from the employees and the entrepreneurial family. In addition, WEBER RESCUE SYSTEMS, together with partners from all over Germany, launched an appeal for donations for the Ukrainian civilian population at the beginning of March, which triggered an overwhelming wave of willingness to help. In addition, the company donated a total of eleven sets of rescue equipment to disaster control in Ukraine and set up a donation account for humanitarian aid.
