rescueDAYS return to Bostalsee

The international rescueDAYS are the world’s largest training event for technical assistance. For over 20 years, they have been held every year at different venues in Germany. This year there is an exception – the rescueDAYS are returning to the Bostalsee venue!

In the middle of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park and on the edge of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park lies the Sankt Wendeler Land, one of the most beautiful regions in Saarland.

Of course, the scenic beauty offers a special plus for our participants. However, the venue at Bostalsee has proven to be ideal due to the excellent infrastructure and the commitment of the local partners. That is why we are happy to return there! With an event area of over 60,000 m2, the training grounds at Bostalsee offer excellent conditions. In addition, the fire brigade days of the district take place at the same time under the auspices of the fire brigade’s development association.

“The rescueDAYS provide a platform to learn about innovative approaches and best practices in accident rescue. This enables participants to expand their knowledge and skills and to be better prepared for a wide range of challenges on the road. Training for fire brigades and emergency services typically covers car, truck and bus rescue. The aim is to learn effective techniques for extricating trapped persons from vehicles. Depending on the type of vehicle and the accident situation, rescue procedures may differ. Besides learning new rescue techniques, the rescueDAYS also offer the opportunity to exchange ideas with other participants from all over the world. Since technical accident rescue does not work the same way everywhere, the international exchange of knowledge and experience is particularly valuable,” says Bernd Dürr, Head of Training at WEBER RESCUE SYSTEMS.

In addition to the ORIGINAL rescueDAYS, where the most important tactics for technical assistance can be trained at a total of seven stations over two days, the new rescueDAYS PLUS focus on additional rescue scenarios. Accompanying the training, internationally recognised experts will share their knowledge in a one-day symposium.

Registration for rescueDAYS 2023 has been open since the beginning of May. For those interested, be quick, there are only a few places left!
